What this notice covers
This notice explains AstrologyAPI's AI chat, palm, face and image-based Vastu services. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy and storage and deletion page. Your application's operator may have a separate notice covering its own use of the services.
Inputs, records and outputs
Depending on the feature, inputs may include birth details, profile identifiers, questions, conversation history, palm or face images, image URLs and floor plans. Processing may produce extracted visual information, interpretations, readings, analysis records and generated responses.
Image services may create reusable records for later requests. Chat retains context to support continuity. Identifiers and generated information can remain personal data when they relate to an identifiable person. Removing a name or replacing it with an ID does not necessarily make a record anonymous.
Storage and deletion
We permanently delete AI chat, palm, face and Vastu data after approximately thirty days, including originals and backups held by AstrologyAPI. This is an approximate deletion cycle rather than a fixed day-thirty guarantee.
Generated PDF reports have a separate three-month retention period and can be deleted earlier on request. These rules do not delete copies downloaded by customers or independently retained by other providers. See the product handling schedule.
AI providers and model use
Our services use multiple AI providers, mainly OpenAI and Gemini, to process the inputs relevant to the requested feature and generate results.
AstrologyAPI never trains models on user data. We prohibit providers from using customer data for their own evaluation. This statement about our own model training does not describe every provider's separate retention, human review, safety monitoring or model-use arrangements. The service provider overview describes the principal providers. Any required contractual restrictions and transfer safeguards must be agreed for the relevant processing.
Uploading information responsibly
Only submit information you are authorised to provide. Customers are responsible for appropriate notices, a lawful basis and any required authorisations, including those relating to children and sensitive information.
Limit uploads to what the chosen feature needs. Crop unrelated people or identifying background details from images where possible. Remove unnecessary names and addresses from floor plans. Do not submit identity documents, payment details, passwords or API secrets in chat prompts.
An image or an AI-generated inference can create privacy risks even where the feature is not being used to identify someone. Assess those risks for your application and intended audience before integration.
Understanding the output
Astrology and AI-generated readings may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Use them with appropriate judgement. They should not be presented as medical diagnosis, validated psychological assessment or professional advice.
Do not rely on a generated reading as the basis for a decision that significantly affects someone's employment, education, credit, insurance, housing, healthcare or access to essential services. Customers remain responsible for lawful use, the claims they make to users and any review appropriate to their application. The Terms of Use apply to the service.
Questions and requests
Email [email protected] with your account email and the relevant record or session identifier for questions about processing or deletion. Do not resend the original image or full conversation unless necessary and requested through an appropriate route.
If you use a customer's application, contact that operator about its collection, notices and independently held copies. We assist with processing performed on its behalf under the applicable agreement and law.
